Tasting notes sourced from Mount Langi Ghiran

The Mount Langi Ghiran Cabernet Sauvignon is slowly building a reputation to stand alongside the highly sought after Shiraz. 1996 was a very dry season which resulted in a slightly earlier vintage that produced small concentrated berries. The wine was matured for two years in a combination of French (80%) and American (20%) oak barriques. The nose is dominated by ripe fruit aromas with a hint of oak in the background. On the palate the berry fruit flavours are well balanced with the oak and the tannins. Good depth of flavour with long aftertaste. Cellar up to 10 years. 13.0% Alcohol Volume.
