1996 Moss Brothers Semillon

The 1996 Moss Brothers whites are exceptional - full flavoured and very aromatic, in spite of their youth. Bright, very pale straw colour. The nose leaps out of the glass with great intensity. Grassy, herbaceous nose with spice and a hint of aniseed.The palate is packed with more flavour than the nose indicates - quite a surprise, and very concentrated at that! Grassy, tropical fruits and that unique Margaret River quality - a trace of aniseed, and just a hint of pencil shavings. This wine has weight, depth and persistence of flavour. Excellent drinking now or cellar for another 2-3 years.
