A typically rich Speyside malt, Glenrothes are known for their sherried expressions. This unusual edition is from a single refill bourbon hogshead. It's of further interest given the considerable age statement and all-natural state of the liquid. Matured from September 1996 to March 2018, then bottled at cask strength with an outturn of 257 bottles, Douglas Laing say to expect aromas and flavours of cashew nuts, spices and honey with gentle oak, fruit pastilles and malt to the fore.
