1996 De Bortoli Noble One Botrytis Semillon (375ml)

This is Australia's most famous sticky - internationally highly decorated, this wine has won 5 gold medals to date. The fruit for this wine was hand harvested in late May with almost textbook botrytis infection of up to 100% from some of the best vineyards. The wine was then matured in new French oak barriques for 12 months with a further 12 months bottle maturation before release.Brilliant, deep brassy gold colour. The nose displays deep intensity with aromas of apricot, citrus and honey. The palate is rich, luscious, mouthfilling and most importantly does not cloy. Concentrated flavour of citrus and honey fill the mouth with apricot and fruit compote flavours on the back palate. Clean acid finish, with long aftertaste of ripe mandarins, honey and citrus. Cellar 3-4 years.
