Made from carefully selected low yielding Barossa Valley Shiraz vines that are 60 years old. This wine is matured for a minimum of 20 months in new American oak. Inky black colour - almost opaque. The nose is filled with smoky cherry and pepper aromas with a hint of sweet and sour black cherry fruit. On the palate there are opulent flavours of rich ripe black cherry fruit, almond and cherry oak. Good complexity, excellent length and concentration with a velvet smooth tannin structure. A powerful wine. Cellar up to 15 years. 14.5% Alcohol Volume.
