1996 Au Bon Climat Le Bouge D'aCote Chardonnay

Made by the flamboyant Jim Clendenen. Bright straw colour. Aromas of biscuit, cashew, butterscotch and yeast lees. A touch more restrained than the Ridge Chardonnay. The palate has impressive flavours dominated by citrus and grapefruit with nut and cashew in the background. Very persistent flavour. Perfect balance followed by long aftertaste of yeast lees and lingering grapefruit. Cellar 5-8 years.
