1995 Stefano Lubiana Brut

The Stefano Lubiana methode champenoise is first class and reflects upon the suitability of Tasmania as a premium sparkling producer. This wine has the typical strong yeast autolysis nose that one has come to expect from Lubiana sparklers. Straw colour, with fine bead. There is a little variation of the clarity of the wine from glass to glass and one suspects that some yeast lees has been left in the bottle after disgorgement. Some of the glasses are crystal clear, the lower ones tend to have a cloudy haze. Pour carefully. Excellent creamy, full flavoured palate and long creamy yeast aftertaste. Cellar 3 - 5 years.
