1995 Leeuwin Estate Art Series Pinot Noir

An outstanding complex Pinot, with power and persistence and a remarkably long aftertaste. The 1995 vintage was early ripening and conditions were perfect to achieve an optimum 14% alcohol.Medium weight, brick red colour. The nose displays pronounced game, spice and strawberry aromas, which fill the palate and continue into a 5 minute aftertaste experience. Generous ripe strawberry spice flavours fill the palate, with superb counterpoint game flavours. Excellent balance, and velvet texture, this is a bench mark Pinot. The length of the aftertaste creates a dimension only found in great bottles of Burgundy. Stocks are, however, limited.
