1995 Leconfield Shiraz

Leconfield continues on its winning streak with the release of the 1995 Shiraz. Deep purple mauve colour - just beautiful! And no doubt foreshadowing the flavour that is to come. The nose is uplifted with immediate appeal and an abundance of ripe blackberry/spice aromas enhanced by vanillin oak. The palate is as good as expected with plenty of ripe berry flavours, concentrated with spiced inky blackberries dominating with some earthy flavours adding complexity to the back palate. Excellent balance, fine firm tannins and very long earthy pepper aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
