1995 Leasingham Bin 61 Shiraz

A wine with immediate appeal, yet capable of at least 10 years cellaring. Opaque crimson mauve colour. The nose is filled with ripe blackberry, plum, vanilla and confectionary aromas with a hint of liquorice. The palate is generous - filled with ripe blackberry plum flavours - the liquorice and vanilla components create complexity that is enhanced by strong blackpepper flavour on the back palate - excellent balance, fine firm tannin structure and long peppery spice aftertaste. An excellent follow up on the 1994, with already 1 trophy and 1 gold to its credentials.
