1995 Leasingham Bin 56 Cabernet Malbec

This is a much tighter wine than the Bin 61, with firmer tannin structure reflecting the blend - 85% Cabernet and 15% Malbec. Opaque brick red ruby colour. The nose is quite aromatic and a sniffing delight. The dusty cabernet aromas are enhanced by ripe blackcurrants, vanilla and spice with a confectionary overtone. The palate is firmer than the nose would suggest - yet with a generosity that time will fully reveal. The dusty cabernet flavours dominate with some aniseed liquorice and spice. The tannins are on the firm side but in balance with long spicy, dusty, blackcurrant finish. Cellar 5-10 years.
