1995 Gordon & Macphail Glenburgie Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Very, very unusual: Indie Glenburgie from a refill Sherry butt and all natural / non chill filtered. Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2017, at over two decades old this promises profound Sherry input.

The bottlers describe "sherry aromas mixed with vanilla and citrus peel and a spicy but sweet palate with flavours of mandarin and charred oak." 56.5% Alc./Vol. Extremely small allocation.

Less than a handful of Glenburgie bottlings have made their way to our shelves - all independents. Otherwise available as a 15 year old official release, the distillery's output has been key to the Ballantines blends.
