Matured from September 1995 to December 2020 in a single ex-sherry butt (cask 14585) yielding 276 bottles, this double-decader Blair Athol has maintained its high ABV. It should be very intense. According to the Laings, the nose is full of rich spices with a hint of charred wood and burnt brown sugar sweetness. The palate initially reveals honeycomb and barley before developing to peaches in syrup and ripe bananas. The long finish shows a creamy, gristy style with apple peel and cinnamon. 57.5% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. Extremely limited stocks.
