Note: Some lifting to the front label.

Rarely seen and even rarer at this age, especially as the distillery is so new (est. 1975), we can thank Douglas Laing for bottling this quirky Speysider which is largely reserved for the Chivas blends. Two very contrasting reviews below... Distilled in 1995 and bottled in 2017 from a single refill hogshead (No. 12038). Non chill filtered.

Other reviews... about as clean, fresh and malty as you can imagine... just sings "Speyside" to you. Just so clean and malty. You feel your teeth will sparkle after tasting it. 49.6% Alc./Vol. 91.5 points- Jim Murray's Whisky Bible 2019

...Colour: white wine. Nose: grass and porridge, then bread and various kinds of pastries. That’s pretty all, but really, I don’t feel like I should write a novel about this one… Mouth: it’s okay, it’s just rough, a tad too eau-de-vie-ish, and rather too grassy. Really, this one won’t make it to whiskystardom if you ask me. Finish: medium, raw, grassy. Apple peelings and grass. Comments: in some cases, the wood appears to make the whisky. 72 points - Serge Valentin, whiskyfun.com
