1995 d'Arenberg Old Vine Shiraz

d'Arenberg old vines shiraz reflects the tradition that has made McLaren Vale famous for its full bodied reds. Made from old vines - some as old as 125 years, these vines are low yielding and consequently produce wines of great intensity of flavour. Traditional open vat fermentation has ensured that the classic McLaren Vale qualities are maintained. Deep ruby/brick red colour. The nose displays aromas of ripe plum and spice. On the palate the blackpeppers make a play, and their flavours build strongly on the back palate - good length with fine tannin structure and peppery ripe plum and stewed fruit aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
