1995 Chateau Montelena Cabernet Sauvignon

Medium bodied. Crimson colour. Earthy truffle, spice, liquorice nose - superb sniffing and very sophisticated. The palate is lighter than the nose might suggest. The blackcurrant flavours are overtaken by the earthy leather, spice back palate flavours which persist long into the aftertaste. The tannins are a little too firm - quite dry and persistent. Cellar 5-8 years.
