1995 Bowen Estate Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep crimson colour. The nose displays some earthy mint aromas over a blackcurrant background and a hint of tea leaf. The palate structure is lighter than the previous years, but well put together and should gain further complexity with time. The earthy flavours persist, suggesting perhaps a touch of Merlot - stalky tea leaf characters are still evident, but restrained. Good length, fine tannin structure and earthy blackcurrant aftertaste. Cellar 5 years.
