1994 Yalumba Family Reserve FDR 620 Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Another outstanding red, more tightly knit than the shiraz, from the Yalumba Family series and certainly a must for the cellar. Intense deep crimson colour, superb nose, blackcurrant spice and mulberries with delightful cedar overtones. The palate displays lots of ripe fruit flavours, with chocolate plum dominating - the tannin structure is firm, but fine and certainly in balance with the fruit and acidity, long plum spice aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
