With so many Coonawarra wines being named after John Riddoch, Riddoch Run Wines decided to change their name to Rymill so as to avoid confusion. This is an outstanding Coonawarra shiraz. Opaque deep crimson colour with mauve purple edges. The nose is restrained at first but blossoms - with confectionary spice aromas to the forefront with blackberry notes in the background. The palate is intense, concentrated with blackberry, spice, liquorice and confectionary flavours and careful oak integration, providing a spicy cedar backdrop. This wine has everything - weight, flavour, persistence, excellent balance and long spicy plum aftertaste. Cellar 10 years.
