1994 Peter Lehmann Mentor

Shiraz is synonymous with the Barossa Valley, yet some very generous ripe Cabernets are also produced. The Mentor is Lehmann's Cabernet blend. The1994 vintage is a blend of 67% Cabernet Sauvignon and 33% Malbec sourced from Peter Lehmann's Stonewell Vineyard. Opaque crimson colour. Superb nose - almost perfumed with aromas of dark chocolate, vanilla, spice and cherry ripe, with just a hint of mint as an end note. The palate is filled with blackcurrant, liquorice and spice flavours - good depth and concentration, fine grained soft tannins with very long chocolate, blackcurrant, spice aftertaste. Cellar 5-8 years.
