1994 Penfolds Bin 407 Cabernet Sauvignon

The Bin 407 has been moulded on the Bin 707, but in greater quantities and at a more affordable price. The wine was matured in a combination of new, one year old and two year old American and French oak for 12 months. The colour is a youthful, deep mauve red. The nose displays leafy, minty Cabernet Sauvignon aromas with hints of capsicum and sweet spice, and underlying vanillin oak. The palate has strong, rich, ripe blueberry flavours, sweet integrated oak and fine grained tannins within a tight structure. Good length and complexity - clearly illustrating the benefits of multi district blending. Cellar 5 years plus. 13.5% Alcohol Volume.
