1994 Chatsfield Mount Barker Shiraz

Chatsfield is building a reputation for producing intense, flavour - filled wines from vines planted in 1988. Yields are restricted to make full flavoured concentrated wines. The 1994 Shiraz is outstanding. Deep crimson purple colour. The nose is pronounced with peppery / blackberry aromas dominating, a spiced plum and aniseed background. The palate has excellent depth and concentration of flavour, reflecting the nose - fine grained tannins, soft finish and long peppery aftertaste. Cellar 3-5 years.
