Notes sourced from BRL Hardy

Along with the Black Pepper Shiraz this wine is the flagship of Barossa Valley Estate Wines. Made from old Barossa Valley vines that produce wines of amazing intensity and concentration, the wine was aged in new American oak for 24 months, and on lees for 12 months following secondary fermentation. Brick red plum colour. The nose displays some leather chocolate aromas which are enhanced by a hint of mint. The palate is very concentrated with an abundance of rich ripe blackberry plum fruit flavours and a touch of vanillin oak. Very well balanced with good mousse, firm dry finish and long aftertaste. 14.5% Alcohol Volume.
