1992 The New Zealand Whisky Collection B112 Cask Strength Single Malt Whisky (700ml)

From the New Zealand Whisky Company's Cask strength collection, this whisky was hand bottled, straight from the wood, at the cellar door in Oamaru. They reputedly form one of the world's largest collections of aged whiskies with some well over 20 years old.

Tasting note: Flawless pale straw gold colour. Offers up a medley of concentrated, sweet spices including vanilla, cinnamon and clove followed by a honey/lemon cough drop freshness and a gentle nose prickle. Entry is creamy and bursting with semi sweet, spicy dried fruit, vanilla and honey flavours. Warm but well balanced. The burst dissipates into a tingly, honeycomb, malt aftertaste that's pleasant if a little short, otherwise nothing to dislike here. Another New Zealand surprise. 53.4% Alc./Vol.
