This is one of the super premium wines to made by Peter Lehmann. Made from Shiraz grown on unirrigated low yielding vineyards in Greenock, Stonewell, Siegersdorf, Moopa and Koonunga Hill in South Australia.Opaque crimson colour. The nose displays aromas of ripe plums, stewed fruits and some toasty oak with a spiced liquorice background. The palate is mouthfilling with ripe plum and chocolate flavours dominating. There is plenty of weight, balanced by warm alcohol (13.5%) and fine grained tannins. A classic, well balanced Barossa red with ripe plum and liquorice aftertaste. Drinking well now, or cellar another 3-5 years.
