1992 Hidden Spirits Clynelish 26 Year Old 'Highproof' Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

The only thing better than a Clynelish is an older one at high strength! This gem was distilled in 1992 and bottled in 2019 by Italian indie, 'Hidden Spirits' after lengthy maturation in a Bourbon cask. Extremely limited stocks.

Tasting note: Pale gold. Opening aromas are remarkably winey: peach, melon, vanilla and buttery oak (think barrel fermented Chardonnay). Brief air contact highlights apple and light brine, then it's all beeswax with a touch of nashi pear adding freshness. Full bodied, waxy/honeyed entry followed by a rush of dark chocolate and flashes of succulent tropical fruits. Rounds off lipsmacking, drier than the middle stage with oak shavings, black pepper, hints of salted caramel and lingering fruits. Waxy, citrusy and just a little tropical - it's quintessential Clynelish. 50.1% Alc./Vol.
