1991 Brokenwood Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz

This wine was made from a drought vintage, with the vines under considerable stress. Brick red colour, medium to light weight, showing age and possible high pH. The nose displays aroma of earth and truffle, followed by a touch of old leather and stewed fruit. On the palate, the ‘old leather’ flavours are quite accentuated, with the stewed fruit and spice flavours fading. The palate has very good persistence. Fine firm tannins, followed by a long aftertaste of spice, leather and earth.
