A very tight wine, requiring 4-5 years to soften. Opaque brick red colour. Restrained nose, with aroma of violets, spice, liquorice and blackcurrant. The wine displays excellent structure for the long haul, with distinctive flavours of blackcurrant, spice and chocolate. Long, lingering dry tannin structure, well balanced, and followed by long aftertaste of blackcurrant, spice and chocolate. Cellar up to 10 years.
