The 1990 St. George demonstrates just how great a Coonawarra Cabernet from anoutstanding vintage can be. It is full bodied in the traditional style and will develop intoa classic Coonawarra Cabernet with 7 to 10 years careful cellaring.

The wine was matured in new French Nevers oak hogsheads for a period of 20 months.Currently, the wine is deep crimson red in colour with vibrant purple hues, indicativeof its youthfulness. The complex bouquet reveals ripe blackcurrant, cassis andplum-like Cabernet fruit, interwoven with integrated cigar-box-like oak influence. Thewine is exceptionally harmonious and balanced with a wealth of rich Cabernet flavoursand great length. The palate suggests ripe berry, plum and blackcurrant-like fruitcharacters and 'sweet' oak complexity, supported by a persistent and astringent dryfinish.
