1989 Petaluma Reserve Release Chardonnay

Deep golden yellow colour showing considerable bottle development. The nose displays a distinct flor aroma with overtones of cashews and almonds. The palate is filled with tertiary bottle developed flavours and may not be to everyone's liking. Biscuit, bitter almond and toasty oak flavours dominate over the nutty flor flavours present in the background and just a hint of grapefruit. A fully developed style, becoming quite broad with long toasty nut aftertaste. Drink up or cellar another 1 - 2 years.
