This wine is the definitive apéritif champagne. It is the essence of finesse. Made from 100% chardonnay grapes selected from the Grande Crus of the Cote de Blancs. Bright pale straw colour, with very fine profuse bead. The nose is very fine displaying subtle aromas of yeast autolysis and hints of grapefruit. The palate is light - but very elegant with length and finesse. The acidity forms the back bone of this champagne which carries through long into the aftertaste. Clean, very dry and crisp but not austere. The chardonnay fruit is present but very subtle. Champagne authority Serena Sutcliffe MW has described this champagne ".....Delicious, light and refreshing to the palate. It lives up to its pedigree origins..... Cramant, with the touch of firmness, Le Mesnil and Oger with new scent, AVIZE playing a silky role in the middle."
