Background: The cabernet sauvignon label continues to carry the name Cyril Henschke (1924-1979) as a tribute to one of Australia’s outstanding winemakers and pioneers in the production of varietal table wines. Cyril Henschke planted Cabernet at Eden Valley in the late 1960s.

Vintage Description: Coolest recorded summer since 1890’s combined with rains produced average yields of high quality. Late vintage, Picked 6th May at 12.5 Be. Matured in French oak hogsheads.
