Matured in new French Nevers oak hogsheads and barriques for 13 months.1986 is regarded as the best Coonawarra vintage of the '80s and this wine certainly reflects the qualities of that year.Deep crimson colour. Perfumed nose- an exquisite sniff, with aroma of leather, cedar, blackcurrant and violets. Complex palate structure showing bottle age character, with mouthfilling flavours of leather, blackcurrant, earth and spice. Velvet smooth tannins, perfect balance and exceptionally long aftertaste. A classic Australian wine.
