1999 Adelphi Benriach 21 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Given numerous official age statements, twenty one years seems a good age to release Benriach. Even better when it's independently bottled up by Adelphi! Distilled in 1999 and aged in a refill bourbon barrel until 2020 before bottling at a hefty 59.9%. On the nose, Adelphi note rosewater, potpourri, apple strudel, pistachio and strawberry Hubba Bubba. On the palate this is echoed further with Turkish delight, crisp apples, Frangelico, desiccated coconut and Raffaello confectionery. The medium finish is unexpectedly mineral and herbaceous. Extremely limited stocks from an outturn of 182 bottles.
