Wild Turkey's 'Sherry Signature' actually blends oloroso sherry with the bourbon as well as finishing it in old oloroso barrels. Before this, the whiskey is matured for 10 years in heavily charred, traditional white oak barrels. Only 1 bottle available.
Tasting note: Nose: Rich and concentrated. Raisin, walnut, sour cherry syrup, clove and cocoa. Oak with sherry. Palate: Rounded and rich. Chocolate and vanilla, nutmeg and red/black fruits. Then comes sherry; raisined fruits and lightly grippy oak. Finish: Thick and sweet. Liquorice. Tannin. Comment: Seems to come in two distinct parts. Of interest, but by no means the best Turkey. 43% Alc./Vol.Rating: 75
