The Macallan Classic Cut 2023 Edition Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

A new 'Classic Cut' is released every year. Some are reported to be slightly better than others. After nine editions (concluding with the 2025 release) the series will be discontinued for good, making these bottlings more collectable than ever. The 2023 edition was matured in ex-Bourbon American oak and sherry seasoned European oak casks. Evidently, the idea with these high-strength bottling is to taste them with and without water. The Master Distiller comments, at full strength the prominent character of the spirit is pear. When ‘one cut’ of water is added, the strength is reduced to around 40%, and almond biscotti steps forward as the keynote. 50.3% Alc./Vol.
