A quality brandy like sniff with an intense bouquet of dried apricot and fig followed by a delightful array of sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla) Exposure teases out dried grass and hints of mixed grain and woodshed. A terrific nose. Amazing balance is evident from the creamy entry, following through with delicious gently bittersweet cocoa, date and honeyed cereal flavours. Lozenge and vanilla reverberate with surprising length. What a whisky! A hedonistic effort from Larks that will take you by surprise. 58% Alc/Vol. 96 points
