Mortlach was paired with the “Six Kingdoms” name because the whisky marked the final bottle in the collection tied to the end of the series, with the label referencing the unified realm at the close of the story. In practice, the branding was meant to signal the concluding chapter of the collaboration, while Mortlach’s own robust, assertive character made it a fitting choice for the final release.
