Matsui Sakura Cask 6 Year Old Single Malt Japanese Whisky (700ml)

Considered more floral and exotic than most Scotch whiskies, this premium expression from Kurayoshi offers an interesting contrast for any collection, both from a flavour and collector's perspective, due to the unusual cherrywood casks used. Jim Murray gave the five year old version 95 points, commenting, "A malt which glows on the palate", so expect something similar here. Kurayoshi started distilling their own whisky in 2017, and, given that they've declared an age statement on the label, we can assume this is their own liquid rather than a blend that includes an imported component. 48% Alc./Vol. 300 bottles produced.
