Number 7 in Mackmyra's Special series is described as a whisky with salty notes of both autumn and sea, along with berry, smoke and spice. The whisky was matured in several different barrel types from 30 to 200 litres, then finished in casks that were saturated with cloudberry wine. One only to sell. 45.8% Alc./Vol.

Self-described as “Adventurers in Whisky”, the diversity of Mackmyra's range and barrel regimes bear testimony to their claim. While they offer malts matured in traditional x Bourbon and Sherry casks, finishes range from Sauternes barrels through to casks which have previously held traditional fruit and berry wines, as well as indigenous Swedish oak (the latter reportedly contributes prominent spice). Casks of 30 and 100 litres are typical. The smaller vessels create an intense maturation with high oak-to-liquid ratios. All the whiskies are aged at a constant temperature, 50 meters deep underground in the Bodas mine on the island of Fjäderholmarna.
