Other reviews... On the nose, this malt is perfumed by sweet and smoke coming together in a rush of cherries jubilee, flambée cherries, and glazed roasted peanuts. There’s milk chocolate sweetness alongside overripe berries and a sweet and savory note reminiscent of banana ketchup. The balance continues on the palate, with prominent berry flavors matching the peat blow for blow. ...Anyone with a penchant for heavily smoked jam tart will rather enjoy this rich and fulsome malt from one of Scotland's newest distilleries. The finish does rather hint of a less than perfect sherry butt.
