Blade and Bow 22 Year Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey (750ml)

Kentucky, UNITED STATES
$1100. 00

$13200.00 Dozen
ABV: 46%
Wow! One of the oldest Bourbons to ever hit our shelves. 22 years in barrel and this is by all reports an absolute gem. This whiskey includes bourbons distilled at Buffalo Trace and Bernheim; its final aging was at Stitzel-Weller. Collector's alert. One only.

Other reviews... this may not be the oldest bourbon brand on the market, but it creeks along as though it is. Every aspect says 'old timer'. But like many an old 'un, has a good story to tell... in this case, exceptional. 46% Alc./Vol.

...Look for big, bold, concentrated caramel on the nose and palate. The complex flavor extends toffee, dusty cocoa and orange peel into the super-long and clove-accented finish. Add water to taste on this sipping Bourbon, but go easy on the dilution to reward yourself with the smooth orange and caramel. Before you realize, the glass is empty.

...Sweet and rich, with a mouth-coating velvety texture. Deeper and more polished than its younger NAS sibling (see below). Caramel, cocoa powder, lush orchard fruit, kiwi, Seville orange, fig, and honeyed vanilla, balanced by drying oak. Distinctive in character. Best after a hearty meal.
