2022 Domaine Metrat et Fils Constance Chiroubles

From vines aged more than 60 years old facing full south on sandy granitic soil. Deep black dark purple colour with a dark purple hue. Fragrant aromas of violets, red to dark cherries and clove flow through the nostrils with some earthy incense and spice notes also evident. Rich spicy red to dark cherry and morello cherry flavours flood the mid weighted palate with earthy incense and dried herb elements sitting underneath. Ripe, slightly chewy tannins with a long sturdy conclusion.
Drink over the next 3-4 years.
