2010 A.D. Rattray Cask Collection Glendullan 14 Year Old Cask Strength Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)

Initially matured for over a decade in a refill ex-bourbon hogshead, this whisky was then transferred for a further 3½ years to a premium first-fill European oak ex-Oloroso sherry hogshead, seasoned for 36 months. The nose is defined by a light orange-fruit cake character that hovers above the deeper bourbon vanillas, repeating on the palate with good depth and balance; Slightly raw, though thoroughly enjoyable, easily softened with just a few drops of water. Rattray's say this is the final, and arguably the finest bottling from their 2021 sherry cask intake from Jerez. The yield was 283 bottles at 56.7% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... Colour: Vibrant copper. Nose: Sticky gingerbread, glace cherry and royal icing. Palate: Sultana, orange and fig roll with cinnamon and caramel. Finish: Luscious, dried fruit and spice, from total integration of cask and spirit.
