Springbank's triple distilled spirit, Hazelburn, debuted in 2005 and has proven itself suited to sherry casks. Made from unpeated, air dried barley, this limited release of 9,900 bottles is from Oloroso sherry casks.
Notes from Springbank... Nose : Juicy red grapes, raspberries and redcurrants followed by stewed strawberries and mint humbugs. Palate : Initially a rich sweetness of marzipan, prunes and raisins,developing into orange rind, dark chocolate and vanilla cheesecake. Finish : Red apple, digestive biscuits, wholemeal toast, black cherries and almonds. 50.3% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.
