Notes from Adelphi... Drawn from a refill sherry hogshead, gold in colour and showing a very good bead. On the nose we have gentian root, green bark, granny smith apples, greengage, apple chewits, freshly broken rhubarb, wine gums and fresh meadows. The palate takes a tropical turn with green banana, lemon curd, shaved coconut, fruit salad and brazil nuts. Tangy, vibrant and zingy, an atypical Mortlach but a delight nonetheless. 56.6% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered. 228 bottles
