Look at this exceptionally old Aultmore! With less than a handful to sell from an outturn of 155 bottles, this will be quite a collector's bottling. Described by Adelphi's Charles MacLean as "One of our favourite makes", Aultmore is situated between Keith and the Moray Firth, quite a long way from Speyside proper, although it produces a typical Speyside malt, with a high reputation among blenders who rank it 'Top Class'.

Producing since 1895, after a patchy history the distillery was sold to Bacardi subsidiary, Dewars, who offered the first ever official bottling in 2004 - so Aultmore of this ilk is not common. The house style is typically light and fruity with most of the wood employed being American oak, this one drawn from a single first fill Bourbon barrel. 51.6% Alc./Vol.
