$250. 00
Bottle
$3000.00 Dozen
ABV: 50%
Tasting note: [15ml sample] Edging close to forty years old, the value here is extraordinary. One of a handful of blended grains on the market (referencing Compass Box's Hedonism), this brilliant deep gold coloured whisky starts off like rum and ends like a great Bourbon. Soft, seductive aromatics of shortbread, caramel fudge, vanilla bean and sticky date follow in a medium bodied whisky, building in a slow fanning wave of oily vanillas and ending with peach nectar, Bounty bar and bourbon-soaked oak. Excellent sweet dry balance. Seriously good grain. The source of the whiskies isn't declared. 300 bottles. 50% Alc./Vol. Non chill filtered.

Notes from the bottlers... "...loads of burnt butter, vanilla, caramelised sugar and coconut flavours".

Other reviews... ...this whisky illustrates two concepts: firstly, when grain whisky is at its finest, it can be breathtaking; and this is an absolutely beautiful grain. Secondly, blending whiskies is an opportunity to create something greater than the sum of its parts; most commercial blends have lost sight of this; here we have something very small batch, elegant, layered and very pretty; this is an exceptional blend. - kensingtonwinemarket.com
