1973 Glenlivet Cellar Collection Single Malt Scotch Whisky (700ml)
Note: Product has come from a private collection and as such has some minor scuffing/scratches/handling marks. Actual product pictured.
Glenlivet's Cellar Collection was introduced to commemorate dates of importance in their history, as well as offer up some serious vintage malt from one of the most revered distilleries. 1973, however, was not chosen for its historical importance, but rather as a whisky that has reached full maturity and complexity. Non chill filtered but not bottled at cask strength (near enough at 49%), the '73 retains a refreshing elegance not found in many similarly aged whiskies. Bottles from this series have widely been heralded as the best Glenlivet has to offer, with the 1973 vintage considered to be an exciting and well-developed example. Described as having a youthful zippiness, with a honeyed vanilla sweetness and a malt-tinged citrus character, this bottle promises to be an unforgettable drinking experience. It presents just as well as any serious single malt with a leather-strapped, oak case. The first we have come across, and one of the more rare examples we have to offer. Very rare. Very collectable. 49% Alc./Vol.
