A beautiful distillery producing some beautiful whisky that's unlike almost any other from the island, being only lightly peated. This indie release from the Boutique-y Whisky Company promises a very special Bunnah' - well over three decades old and at natural strength at a price that's out of kilter with similar official distillery bottlings. The colourful label of this Bunnahabhain shows some general goings-on around the distillery, like caber-tossing, sunbathing, vintage lorries and a racecar speeding along the windy roads!

Notes from the bottler: Delicate and takes a little time to reveal itself. Light tobacco notes and chamois leather initially. Banana bread dough follows with hints of peach and orange barley water. Palate: Softly coats the mouth with a tropical fruit medley followed by gentle wood spices. Over ripe honey mango, soft peach, and banana. Nutmeg and a dusting of cinnamon bring the spices. Finish: Long and gently spiced. The juicy fruits linger but it’s the peppery wood spices that last longest. 40.20% Alc./Vol. 302 bottles.
